Motorola has announced that the new Moto X Pure Edition will be available to pre-order in the US from today, the handset will retail for $399.
The Moto X Pure Edition is basically an unlocked version of the Moto X Style Edition, the handset comes without a contract and can be used with any of the compatible carriers.
The device features a 5.7 inch display that is equipped with a Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, the device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor.
Other specifications on the Moto X Pure Edition include 3GB of RAM and a either 16GB, 32GB or 64GB of built in storage, there is also a microSD card slot which will take up to a 128GB card.
The device features front and rear cameras, up front we have a 5 megapixel camera for Selfies and video chat, on the back there is a 21 megapixel camera. The handset comes with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.

We have already seen some leaked press shots of Sony’s new smartphones, the Sony Xperia Z5, Z5 Premium and Z5 compact and now we have some actual photos of the handsets.
The photos were posted online by nu.nl and they give us a look at the design of Sony’s latest flagship smartphones, which will be unveiled at IFA later this week.
The Sony Xperia Z5 is rumored to come with a 5.2 inch display with a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.
The Xperia Z5 Premium is said to feature a 5.2 inch display with a 4K resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels and the Z5 Compact is rumored to have a 4.6 inch display with a HD resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.
All handsets will feature Sony’s new flagship Exmor RS camera sensor which is said to come with 23 megapixel. We will have full specifications on these new Xperia smartphones when they are made official later this week.
OnePlus released their first software update for their new OnePlus 2 smartphone about a week ago and now they have released another, in the form of Oxygen OS 2.0.2.
The new Oxygen OS 2.0.2 software update for the OnePlus 2 is available as an over the air update, you can see what is included in the update below.

Improvements to fingerprint recognition accuracy
Resolves a bug that could cause volume to be muted unexpectedly
Stability improvements to the front facing camera
Camera preview UX improvements
OnePlus have also said that there is a more significant update coming later this month for the OnePlus 2, in the form of Oxygen OS 2.1, this update should land around the middle of September.
