Porsche 911 Carrera

The Porsche 911 Carrera’s have always featured naturally aspirated engines, turbos have in the past been reserved for the 911 Turbo models.

Porsche has now announced their new Porsche 911 Carrera models and they come with new turbo charged engines.

The 911 Carrera now features a 3.0 litre bi-turbo engine and the standard model comes with 370 horsepower and 450Nm of torque, the 911 Carrera S comes with 420 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque.

The new turbo charged engines give the standard Porsche 911 Carrera a 0 to 62 miles per hour time of 4.2 seconds and the S model comes with a 0 to 62 miles per hour time of 3.9 seconds.

With innovative turbo flat engines, an advanced chassis with an even greater spread between performance and comfort and a new infotainment system it is exceedingly well-equipped for this. Thanks to more than four decades of experience with turbo engines – in both motor racing and production sports cars – the new engines in the new 911 Carrera set benchmarks in terms of performance, driving pleasure and efficiency. The rear-axle steering available as an option for the Carrera models for the first time further greatly extends the range of driving dynamics.
